High Energy Biofuels Overview

We are at the onset of the Renewable Energy Revolution, in which BioFuel Technology plays a crucial role. BioFuels or renewable fuels are those derived from natural resources, involving sugar crops, vegetable, animal fats or oils. Despite considerable research and development efforts, so far renewable fuels have had limited success. This is largely due to process conditions and energy limitations found in mainstream BioFuels, namely gasohol (involving alcohol) and BioDiesel (involving fats and oils plus alcohol). BioFuels are important because of their lower levels of pollution, plus the fact that they have enormous growth potential as renewable energy sources.

Western BioFuels, Inc. has undertaken a revolutionary approach to BioFuel technology, eliminating the short comings inherent to FAME BioDiesel and its production, specifically, process inefficiency, CO2 redundant emissions, and low energy output. The Third Generation of BioFuels arose with the successful creation of High Energy BioFuel (HEBF) Technology. This technology involves nitrilation as opposed to accommodation of oxygenates. HEBF technology entails a continuous production of High Energy BioDiesel (HEBD), a high grade, energy rich, environmentally friendly fuel with zero sulfur contaminants and zero redundant CO2 emissions. As a bonus, in the same process, ultra low-sulfur, energy-rich BioBunker is produced as a high value side product, plus an octane enhancer naphtha component.
